This concept revisits the familiar cloche and gives it a more contemporary presence: a solid marble base paired with a clear glass lid shaped with straight, vertical sides. The form stays understated, but the proportions open up new possibilities.
The lid includes a small opening at the top — a simple finger grip that makes it easy to lift without interrupting the silhouette. It also allows a bit of airflow, preventing moisture from building up inside.
The vertical sides offer a different kind of space compared to a traditional domed shape. Instead of curving inward, the glass keeps its volume all the way up, creating room for pastries, fruit, or small objects that benefit from being displayed rather than hidden.
It’s a quiet object for the countertop: protective, transparent, and made to let everyday items feel a little more considered. As with all concepts in this lab, materials, proportions, and details can shift depending on where a potential collaboration wants to take it.
